Tony Ferguson hits back at Dana White
UFC President Dana White catches stray from lightweight superstar Tony Ferguson. “El Cucuy” is not happy with the UFC boss for reportedly claiming that he is washed up.
Tony Ferguson and the UFC have never had a smooth relationship. The fighter has always put the promotion and its president, Dana White, on blast on numerous occasions in the past. In recent times, Tony has fallen victim to a lot of criticism on account of his losing skid in the octagon. His recent defeat to Michael Chandler did not make things better for the former interim lightweight champion.
Ferguson’s recent defeat to Michael Chandler at UFC 274 was one of the most brutal losses in the history of the sport. Chandler knocked out Ferguson with a high kick to the face which put El Cucuy on the canvas immediately. Leading up to the fight, Ferguson took shots at Dana and claimed that the UFC boss runs the company like a drug lord. After the alleged claims that Dana called Tony “washed up” recently, Ferguson took to Twitter to put White on blast.

As always Tony put out a cryptic tweet with tons of emojis. The fighter tagged Dana and wrote, “Washed up? I’ll give you washed up…washed deez nuts. Now I’m pissed.” Tony also wrote, “Sometimes you need to hear that shit” in his tweet dissing the UFC boss.
There are no reports so far that suggest Dana called Ferguson “washed up” in recent times. It would be interesting to see if White clarifies or responds to this. The only mention of Tony in Dana’s recent interview was to discuss the possibility of The Ultimate Fighter season with Tony Ferguson and his long-time rival Khabib Nurmagomedov as coaches of two different teams in TUF.
Dana is still skeptical if he would want to make a TUF season where the coaches do not fight each other. However, Robbie Fox from the Mom’s Basement podcast has convinced the UFC boss to make this happen given the two fighters have publicly shown interest in doing so. This might be the closest fans get to witness the rivalry between Khabib and Tony.
