“Next Question” – Tony Ferguson climbs on the stage to answer questions from media despite the cancellation UFC 279 presser

Tony Ferguson was the only sane person in the room as the whole UFC 279 press conference went insane with multiple alterations. For the first time in the history of UFC, the promotion was forced to stop the event’s press conference. As the crowd waited eagerly for the fighters to show up, the fighters were mostly busy backstage having physical altercations.
UFC president Dana White had to come up to the stage in order to confront the angry crowd. White was previously thinking of doing the press conference somehow but it got so out of control that eventually it was called off.
“This ain’t going to happen,” White said to the crowd. “I apologize, everybody. I am in very weird waters here. This has never happened in the history of this company. Trust me when I tell you this is the right decision not to do this press conference right now. For everybody’s safety, this is the right decision. I apologize. Thanks for coming.“
Later, White also explained what happened and how things got so out of control. He said :
“There were multiple things going on at the same time. It wasn’t just one thing that erupted and it happened. So there was security over there, there was no security over there. There was no security over there cause everybody was dealing with the other thing and once it all started erupting, it was just a s*** show.”

Tony Ferguson talks to fans amid the cancellation of UFC 278 pre-fight pres conference
After the UFC 279 press conference was cancelled, UFC veteran fighter, Tony Ferguson showed up to cheer the crowd who came in for the conference. Tony Ferguson is ready to take on Li Jinglang this weekend.
Ferguson, who is known for his crazy antics, actually showed some sense as he went onto the stage. As Ferguson entered, the angry crowd welcomed Next question the fighter by shouting his name. Ferguson greeted the fans and went up to the mic and jokingly said,” Next Question.”
It was a great contribution for a fighter like Ferguson who has given a lot to this company. The fighter is a legend and has a massive fan base. Today, by showing up during these moments, Ferguson revealed that he really cares about the fans regardless of anything.
Reportedly the altercation was between Khamzat Chimaev’s team and Nate Diaz’s team. More specifically, Chimaev and Dareen Till got into an argument with Kevin Holland and things went nasty.
There is no information regarding the press conference happening again but this whole thing surely added a lot more hype to this card than it previously had.
