Despite popular belief and speculation, UFC veteran Tony Ferguson had no plans to hang up his gloves just yet. In July, Ferguson experienced another loss when he was submitted by Bobby Green at UFC 291, resulting in his sixth consecutive defeat. Out of them, in four fights, Ferguson was finished by his opponents. As expected, this led to questions among fans about whether this defeat might prompt “El Cucuy” to consider retirement.

However, it seems like Ferguson has not given up on the idea of continuing fighting for some more time. In a recent tweet, the legend conveyed that he has been dealing with a lot since the pandemic, but even after all that, he will not be retiring from the sport.

It’s hardly astonishing that Ferguson is opting to stay, given his consistent pattern of reluctance to disengage from comparable situations in the past. This decision is entirely in line with his established history of not readily walking away from such scenarios.
