“The headaches have gone away”- Tony Ferguson provides an update on his health after his brutal knockout at UFC 274

Tony Ferguson fought Michael Chandler at UFC 274 on May 7 inside the Footprint Center in Phoenix, Arizona. The hype around the fight was massive due to the reputation of both the fighters being absolute warriors. In the fight, Chandler dropped Ferguson in the second round with a nasty kick to the chin. It was so bad that Ferguson lay there for a few minutes before regaining consciousness.
The knockout looked extremely brutal and many thought that it was the end of Ferguson’s career as an MMA fighter. Ferguson is currently 38 years old and at this age, it’s hard to get back to form after getting hit like that. But Ferguson later claimed that he is not going to retire and has unfinished business inside the octagon.

Ferguson recently did a virtual interview with Ariel Helwani on ‘ The MMA Hour‘ show on YouTube.
During the conversation, Helwani asked Ferguson about how he is feeling now after a week from UFC 274.
While responding to the question, Ferguson explained that he is actually feeling pretty good. The fighter suggested that other than adding a knockout to his professional record everything else is just fine. ‘ El Cucuy’ revealed that his headaches have stopped and he is doing media interviews etc.
“I feel amazing man. Aside from getting Knocked out and adding that to my resume, I feel actually not too bad. I’m gonna real, I have done a couple of interviews. The headaches have gone away, kind of starting to remember how the round went and the just kinda remembering what I was going for and I want back and watched the film…I feel pretty good man, I feel really good,” said Ferguson.
It seems like Ferguson is really not in the mind of retiring from the sport which is good news for his fans. The fighter has proved that he is one of the best in the history of UFC and will continue to entertain the fight fans in future.
