The final face-off between Tony Ferguson and Khabib Nurmagomedov before their scheduled bout at UFC 249 was cancelled due to the pandemic

One of the biggest UFC rivalries is getting another chance as Tony Ferguson and Khabib Nurmagomedov are ready to compete as coaches at TUF. It all started when Ferguson called out Nurmagomedov and claimed that will compete against him even if it is a TUF. To which, the ‘Eagle’ had a positive response and agreed to the idea. Fight fans after learning about it were excited as both the individuals are still very famous.

Recently in an interview at the ‘Spinnin Backfist MMA Show’, UFC president, Dana White also gave a green light to the idea.

“I will absolutely entertain that idea…hopefully they’ll get pissed off enough at each other that they actually want to fight and I can make them fight.”

White is a pure businessman and has always been keen to bring Nurmagomedov back to the UFC since his retirement. This is a chance that he can never miss and make a lot of money out of it.

After white made that affirmative comment, Ferguson took that news article and shared it again on his Twitter account.

In the caption, ‘ El Cucuy’ mocked the fans by saying that the TUF is happening and everybody is ready for it.

“Drink?It Up Casuals- Champ ?? -CSO ????? # ?,” wrote Ferguson.

When both Ferguson and Nurmagomedov were in their prime, UFC made their fight five times and all got cancelled. Now, this is an opportunity to give that rivalry a good ending and entertainment to the fans.

Similarly, for UFC it’s a chance to save TUF as fans have stopped watching it in the last few years. Bringing huge names such as Nurmagomedov and Ferguson will surely increase the overall views of the show.
