“This shit is rigged” – Twitter fan accuses judges at UFC 281 of manipulating the scorecard following a “Shady” moment inside the octagon

The women’s strawweight fight between Karolina Kowalkiewicz vs Silvana Gomez at Madison Square Garden didn’t get a smooth ending. UFC 281 was a stacked Pay-per-view event with multiple title defenses and thrilling match-ups. With all these things there was also a pinch of controversy that took place during the preliminary card.
The fight between Kowalkiewicz and Gomez was extremely competitive and entertaining. Both the fighters were coming off wins from their previous bout hence needed the win to make it a two-fight win streak. After the fight finished it was more or less obvious that Karolina was better in their fight. The fight went to the judges and Bruce Buffer was going to announce the winner of the fight. However, suddenly an official came and made some changes to the scorecard live inside the octagon.
Everybody was confused, including the commentator panel, Daniel Cormier said, “What is happening? Oh my goodness, what is going on? Oh my goodness, they are flipping the scorecard.” However, Karolina was announced as the winner via a unanimous decision (29-28 score) but it created a lot of confusion at that particular moment.

Twitter reacts to the mishap that took place at UFC 281 after the Karolina Kowalkiewicz vs Silvana Gomez fight
Fans went crazy after what they saw in the octagon and expressed their opinion on Twitter. One user complained that things like this are happening due to gambling and betting which should be stopped, “Sports gambling should be banned period. Only way shenanigans like this stops.”
Another user hilariously mentioned that the official was losing money so he changed the scores at UFC 281. He wrote, “He was bouta lose money”
It was evident that whatever happened wasn’t normal and was suspicious. “That was some shady crap with the scorecards. WTF! Happy Karolina won though! #UFC281,” wrote one user.
A fan sarcastically mentioned that the judges might misread the name of the fighter, “I swear to god judges at the end of a fight are like ‘oh SHE is Karolina?!’ ?”
Another user linked this incident to UFC 280 when Petr Yan lost his fight against Sean O’Malley in a controversial fight. “Y’all just finding this out? It was blatant since the Yan fight vs Fruit Loops”
