A recent scientific tweet on X by Georges St. Pierre elicited humorous reactions from fans. Georges St. Pierre is a retired double champion of the UFC. He was the longest reigning welterweight champion of the UFC, who after a hiatus came back to claim the middleweight title. He retired soon after his middleweight title triumph over Michael Bisping. Even the late Abdulmanap Nurmagomedov sang high praise for the Canadian when coaching his son, Khabib Nurmagomedov.

GSP posted on X a picture of the planet Jupiter with the caption, “Without the tremendous gravity of Jupiter to vacuum up asteroids and comets straying in toward the gravity of the Sun, Earth would be the most massive object close to the Sun and would take the bulk of the impacts. Earth would not likely have ever even developed complex life had Jupiter not been out there to take the devastating hits for us. Thank you Jupiter.” A fan humorously commented, “this is so random coming from you georges,” followed by two laughing emojis. MMA fans were caught off guard by the post.
