Khamzat Chimaev has been out of action for a long time now and as expected his fans are going crazy about watching him fight next. The UFC has yet to announce any fight that will feature Chimaev, but it seems like middleweight fighter Brendan Allen has already spilled the beans. 

Last night at UFC Fight Night: Emmett vs. Topuria, Allen put on a great performance against Bruno Silva and won the fight via submission. After the fight, he immediately called out Jared Cannonier for a fight but later regretted it.

At the post-fight press conference, Allen was asked about the callout, and he revealed that his manager, Ali Abdelaziz, asked him not to call out any scheduled fighter, including Jared Cannonier, who is already set for another fight.

He said: “Sorry to Ali he told me not to call anyone that has a fight or Cannonier because he potentially has a fight from what we understand.” Even though Allen didn’t give the name of the fighter who is going to fight Cannonier, many are speculating that it is none other than the Chechen warrior. To make things interesting, popular MMA reporter Alex Behunin has also given a similar statement confirming that Chimaev is going to fight Cannonier next.

Khamzat Chimaev is back at training to be ready for his next fight

Khamzat Chimaev is already a huge name in the UFC and one of the biggest PPV stars because of his personality. Even though the fighter has not given any updates about who will be fighting next, he’s definitely increasing the pace of his training camp. 

Recently, the fighter shared a training session video on his official YouTube channel after a long gap. In the video, the highlight was when popular Swedish football player Zlatan Ibrahimovic came to visit Chimaev at his gym.

Other than that, Chimaev looked extremely focused while hitting the pads and sparring. Most likely, the fighter will fight in the middleweight division, and it is definitely going to be a lot different from his previous fights.
