In combat sports, calling out boxers is nothing new. Since UFC star Conor McGregor has set the standard for combat sportsmen, every victory for boxers is like a new chance to confront criticism coupled with a callout.
In the latest showdown where two undefeated boxers competed, Gervonta Davis again proved he is way above all the boxers who are trying to show that they can be the best. Davis secured the win over Ryan Gracia in the seventh round by landing a body shot. But this win didn’t impress a rising UFC star. The tattooed, colorful fighter from the UFC, Sean O’Malley, praised Davis for his win. However, he does not seem that impressed with his performance given him calling out the ‘Tank’ on Twitter.
Sean O’Malley, who has a 16-1 record in the UFC, called out Gervonta Davis with this bold statement: “Walk out was hard. Still feel like I piece him low key.” This statement has impressed many fans, as they looked pumped up after a UFC fighter called out a boxing fighter. ‘Sugar,’ who has already fashioned himself a pretty impressive career, has made a name for himself by defeating fighters like Petr Yan.
Now O’Malley is looking to challenge the boxing star, who has faced zero defeats in his career. Gervonta is known as one of the best boxers in the lightweight division, filling his stacked resume with knockouts. Earlier, Ryan Gracia said he would knock him out, but Gervonta proved to be just too good.
Ahead of the fight, Sean O’Malley made several comments about Gervonta Davis and Ryan Garcia

Some time back in the TimboSugarShow, UFC rising star Sean O’Malley was discussing the performances of Gervonta Davis when he claimed that he could knock out Davis if he got the chance to fight against him in the 135-pound category. Sean said “The fight’s happening though, me vs Gervonta in five years. I swear… I could knock his a** out. I really believe that… [At] 135, I’d KO him,” said Sean O’Malley.”
After that, during the pre-fight heat up, Gervonta Davis and Ryan Garcia agreed to bet their entire money on their upcoming fight, but to this, Sean O’Malley responded, “You can’t not. If someone [offers the bet], you know what I mean? So, Nah, I’m good. So, you’re not confident? You can still be intelligent like no, no, I’m not putting my purse on it, you f*cking dork. Yeah, I’m confident, watch, I’ll beat your a*s. How about you put your purse on it, I won’t put mine on it, are you that confident?”
Right now, ‘Sugar’ is the No. 2 ranked bantamweight contender in the UFC. After maintaining his record of 16 wins, he has secured a safe spot to compete against the champion, Aaljamain Sterling. Beating Petr Yan was a career-altering moment for him. Now Sean will have his eyes stuck on the upcoming matchup between Henry Cejudo and Aljamain Sterling.
