Conor McGregor is happy that the UFC will not be part of the much-anticipated Elon Musk vs. Mark Zuckerberg fight. Previously, it was expected that Dana White would schedule the fight. However, Musk confirmed that the fight has no connection to the UFC.
“The fight will be managed by my and Zuck’s foundations (not UFC),” he wrote, in contrast to suggestions that UFC boss Dana White had expected. McGregor recently made a tweet in which he mocked Musk and Zuckerberg by revealing that he is not interested in the fight.
He wrote, “I could not be less interested in this, I am so happy the UFC will not be involved.” On the other hand, the Irishman is pleased that the UFC will not be involved in this fight. Conor McGregor seems to be disappointed that both parties didn’t work it out.
Lately, McGregor has been quite active in the UFC since his participation in TUF Season 31. The fighter is anticipated to make his long-awaited comeback; however, there have been no leads about his opponent yet. Nonetheless, fans remain highly excited, and this is undoubtedly poised to become one of the biggest comebacks in the promotion’s history.
Elon Musk teams up with Italy’s PM for epic ancient Rome-Themed fight
It seems like, despite dropping the idea of partnering with the UFC, Elon Musk has some great plans for his upcoming fight with Mark Zuckerberg. In the tweet, Musk mentioned that the live stream of the fight will take place on the Meta and X.
He wrote: “Livestream will be on this platform and Meta. Everything in the camera frame will be ancient Rome, so nothing modern at all. I spoke to the PM of Italy and Minister of Culture. They have agreed on an epic location.”
According to the CEO of SpaceX, he has had a long conversation with the minister of Italy, Giorgia Meloni, about holding the fight in Rome. Fight fans and people, in general, are really excited about this event as it involves some of the biggest names in the world. It will be interesting to see new updates about this fight, which will most probably prevail in the future.
