Bobby Green is a popular figure in the UFC. Having a persona much like Jorge Masvidal and Nate Diaz, UFC fans considered ‘King’ a star. On that note, he resonated with Nate Diaz for more than one characteristic. One such was the heavy use of marijuana. Both Diaz and Green were open about their marijuana use. Now, Green shocked everyone by revealing his daily dosage.
In his appearance on the ‘Jaxxon Podcast’ hosted by Quinton Jackson and Bear Degidio, Bobby Green detailed his marijuana use. He said he smoked only blunts with tobacco in it. Upon hearing this, Jackson jumped in to remind Green of the detrimental effects of tobacco. That was when ‘King’ revealed he smoked 15 blunts a day and didn’t feel a difference. Here is what he said:
I smoke weed, but I don’t just smoke weed, like, I ain’t gonna hit no pens, I’m not gonna hit no joints. I just smoke blunts. All tobacco. I’m smoking 15 of those a day. And I’m not talking about the little ones, I’m talking about the big ones.Bobby Green via Jaxxon Podcast

Quinton Jackson soon questioned Bobby Green whether the UFC’s drug tested for marijuana. Green answered it wasn’t a problem at all. However, he stated that it was prohibited on fight night. As such, Bear Degido referred to it as ‘Nate Diaz Law’. After marijuana became legal in most of the states in the US, the UFC removed marijuana use as a punishable offense in 2021. This came as an effect after numerous criticisms of the suspension of Nick Diaz. Today, his brother Nate Diaz often smokes marijuana before UFC events.
The UFC recently removed marijuana from its banned substance list. This came as a result of the UFC terminating its contract with USADA. It served as helpful for fighters like Bobby Green, who consumes marijuana regularly. As for his career, ‘King’ will face another UFC veteran, Jim Miller, in the historic UFC 300 fight card.
Bobby Green reveals how he contracted the habit of smoking marijuana
Bobby Green is very open about his marijuana use. As such, in his appearance on the Jaxxon Podcast, he spoke about his marijuana use when talking about how he prepared himself to fight. As such, he touched upon his initial use of the drug and how it became a habit.

Bobby Green recalled an instance when he lived with his brother earlier. Since his brother smoked marijuana often, Green took an interest in it as well. Here is what Green said:
Where I really got this habit… one year, I started staying with my brother. And that’s what he did, too. He’d smoke all day. So I went from, ‘Hey, maybe I’ll smoke one or two,’ to three a day. To seven, eight a day. Then I got that new regimen...I’m smoking like a pound a month. I just get through it, broBobby Green via Jaxxon Podcast
Although he took marijuana in large quantities, it didn’t seem to affect his performance in the octagon. He even earned a lightweight ranking last year with his win over Grant Dawson. However, he lost his very next fight via knockout to Jalin Turner. Now, he is set to take on Jim Miller at UFC 300.
