Finally, MMA fans’ beloved star Conor McGregor is back on the road for his UFC journey. After two years, McGregor will resume the path he left at UFC 264 against Dustin Poirier. Fight fans were aware that TUF 31 would be aired on May 30th and will feature Michael Chandler as well. The first episode of TUF 31 has an unexpected segment that has now left the fans in awe.
The first episode of TUF 31 didn’t disappoint anyone, as it was expected that there would be a lot of action. Conor McGregor and Michael Chandler were both seen having a cold conversation during the heated verbal sparring. But keeping all the team vs. team action aside, the episode also captured something that rarely surfaces on the internet. McGregor was seen having a conversation with a young fan, which impressed many fans.
Conor has always been brutal toward his opponent; playing mind games is his thing. But at TUF 31, McGregor was seen making a deal with a kid who was carrying an action figure toy of the fighter himself. The $180 million worth superstar offered to buy the kid’s toy for an ample amount of cash. The kid looked surprised as McGregor pulled out wads of cash for the action figure.
This is not the first time McGregor has done something like this. The Irishman’s antics in the fight world and social media often shadow his kindness. Conor has done a lot of charity work, being a ray of sunshine for the needy.
What else did the confrontation of Team Conor McGregor vs Team Michael Chandler offer?
The first episode of TUF 31 was a spectacular watch and was just a glimpse of what the new season has in store for fight fans. Conor McGregor‘s and Michael Chandler‘s teams will each feature eight competitors. Both the explosive warriors in the forthcoming episodes will coach their teams and help the fighters scratch the surface of their sky-high potential. The two weight divisions are bantamweight and lightweight, with eight fighters in each division. Each division will be split into two groups: veterans and prospects.
Each division will have four fighters who already have UFC experience under their belt, and the other four fighters will be prospects who will want to put their skills on display. As Dana White tossed the coin, ‘The Notorious’ won the toss and went on to pick four experienced fighters from the lightweight division.
Chandler will now have the opportunity to pick four experienced fighters from the bantamweight division.
Later, McGregor went to greet his teammates. He also asked them to wear all the gear for the first sparring session. The first episode of TUF 31 has many mixed dramas packed in, which makes it a great watch.
