Jiri Prochazka and Alex Pereira went head-to-head at New York’s Madison Square Garden for the UFC light heavyweight title. Both fighters have an amazing record and accomplishments, with Pereira being one of the best strikers in the UFC. Similarly, Prochazka is also a well-known fighter who has won 28 fights, and 25 of them were via KO. The fight lived up to its hype, and in the first round, Pereira kept attacking Prochazka with calf kicks.

Subsequently, during their exchange, Pereira was able to get Prochazka in a chokehold, but Prochazka managed to take him down. However, Pereira remained calm and managed to get back to his feet before the end of the round. Similarly, in their first fight, Pereira was able to finish off the former middleweight champion, Israel Adesanya, with a fifth-round TKO.

In addition, Pereira was also able to finish off the current middleweight champion, Sean Strickland, with a first-round KO. In both of those fights, Pereira landed his iconic left hook, which completely wobbled the fighters. Hence, Pereira’s one-punch power is one of his most formidable weapons, which can dismantle almost any opponent.

In his 11-fight professional MMA career, Pereira has become the middleweight champion and the light heavyweight champion via knockout. Furthermore, he made history by becoming the ninth UFC fighter to achieve two championship titles in a separate division.

However, it appears that Pereira is not done with his achievements, and after the fight during his interview, he called out his longtime rival, Adesanya. Pereira and Adesanya have been fighting each other since their kickboxing careers and have a lot of history.
