So what if Johnny Walker lost out at UFC Fight Night 234? He still holds on to his funny disposition more than ever. The fighter went down crashing after Magomedov Ankalaev landed a powerful right hook at their bout. Walker faced the knockdown at Round 2 of 2024’s first PPV event, at the UFC Apex. But that does not chip away at his jovial nature just yet.
In the lead-up, Walker had vowed to be emotionless, showing no hate or emotion against the opponent. But the fighter just cannot help but be himself, in what gets the dub of most likable guy in UFC. Fight fans enjoy a lot of his content; now comes another one with his wife. In a recent IG reel, Walker tries his hand at tennis with his wife Tara Campbell. After his first tryout ever, the fighter says –

This inference is to the UFC star trolling fans, claiming to beat his wife, last year. Turns out he ‘beat his wife’ in UFC 5, the game from EA SPORTS™, with a jumping knee-to-face. Walker played with his Avatar while his wife played as Anthony Smith. On both occasions, Campbell had a sheepish smile towards her husband and his goofy antics.
The Irishwoman first met him in Dublin when Walker first joined Straight Blast Gym Ireland. This was while training under coach John Kavanagh. She was reportedly instrumental in the Brazilian joining up with Paradigm Sports Management. Having tied the knot since then, she has been a very reinforcing influence on him, even reeling from a loss.
After UFC Vegas 84’s skid, Johnny Walker makes a solemn promise to bounce back better
Johnny Walker will not abandon his title hopes following the UFC Fight Night 234 skid, just yet. Magomedov Ankalaev knocked him out in Round 2 of their main event at UFC Apex in Las Vegas. Ankalaev reunited with Walker after their first fight at UFC 294 was ruled a no-contest due to an illegal knee.
Despite the turmoil of the first hash-out, and now a loss, the Brazilian isn’t out of the fight. Walker took to his IG account, and then to X, to vow to “take this lesson and come back to the drawing board,” with this loss. Check out one of his latest tweets below –
Walker had three straight wins over Ion Cuțelaba, Paul Craig, and former title challenger Anthony Smith before his fight with Ankalaev. Consequently, he wants to get back to such feats yet again.
