Shavkat Rakhmanov put on a stellar performance against Geoff Neal at UFC 285. He landed 64.5 per cent of his strikes, revealing to the fight fans that he could strike. UFC is trying to book a fight for him soon to keep his momentum going for a future Welterweight title. He got rewarded for putting Kazakhstan in the eyes of the Combat sports world, which is meeting the President.
He met with the President of Kazakhstan recently. A fighter meeting with the President of their respective country is considered the highest form of honour. Colby Covington met with Donald Trump during the latter’s Presidency, and Khabib Nurmagomedov and his father met with Vladimir Putin. Now, Shavkat has met with the President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev of Kazakhstan.
Shavkat Rakhmonov finds himself among the top contenders in the Welterweight division with a victory over Geoff Neal. The combination of his striking and grappling ability showcased in the UFC makes him a nightmare match-up for anyone in the Welterweight division. He got a boost in the ranking for his win and now ranks as the No. 6 in the Welterweight division.

Somewhere down the line, he might fight Khamzat Chimaev in a potential European showdown. Rakhmonov indicated that he could fight Chimaev in the future if it happens. If he continues winning, he will fight for the UFC Welterweight Championship sooner or later.

Dana White is trying to book Shavkat Rakhmonov, ranked No. 6 in the Welterweight division, in a fight. Belal Muhammed is likely to be the opponent as he has the No. 4 rankings. These two are sensible to fight for a future title shot. Since entering the UFC, Rakhmonov is on a five-fight winning streak, finishing all his opponents.

Rakhmonov is a very active fighter, and the fans will hope to see him further in the year. He has fought three times in the last 13-month span. Belal, on the other hand, is on a nine-fight unbeaten streak. A win over Belal would become fruitful as he could become the next contender for the Welterweight title.
