Dana White and Uriah Hall’s relationship over the time
At the end of The Ultimate Fighter season 17, Uriah ended up losing the finale via split decision to his teammate from Team Sonnen, Kelvin Gastelum. Uriah fighting an amazing bout ended up in his favor as he continued to fight for the UFC. Hall has been fighting in the UFC since 2013 and is still going strong as a contender in the UFC middleweight division.
However, during one of Uriah’s tough runs in the promotion, Dana was very close to cutting him off the roster. Despite Hall being one of the best talents to emerge out of TUF, White believed he was not cut to be a fighter. “He’s not a fighter, man. He has all the physical attributes…he doesn’t have what it mentally takes to fight,” said Dana in one of his comments on the middleweight fighter in 2013.
When Uriah headlined an event with Anderson Silva at UFC Vegas 12, Hall got the knockout win against the former champ but the UFC boss was not too pleased with the performance. “I couldn’t give a sh*t what he has to say or think. He’s not in there with me at that given time,” said Hall responding to White’s response in 2020.
