After his introduction, the ‘Stylebender’ was asked about fighter pay in UFC, right off the bat. While doing so the interviewer wanted to confirm a supposed rumor he heard about fighter pay. “ Is it true that after every 100 dollars Dana White makes, fighters have to pay him five more dollars?” asked Caleb. As soon as the reporter was finished with his question Adesanya laughed uncontrollably. He cleared that the accusation was false and he never had to pay five dollars for every 100 dollars Dana White made.

As hilarious as the interview was, Adesanya has a more serious issue on his hand. He will soon defend his title at UFC 293 and his opponent will most likely be the South African fighter Dricus Du Plessis. Du Plessis is confident in his abilities and also has a game plan ready to defeat the Stylebender.

While many trust that Adesanya has all the skills in his arsenal to win the fight, Du Plessis begs to differ. The South African fighter has revealed that he has a solid game plan to capture the middleweight gold and emerge as the first South African champion. “I’ll knock him out just like I did tonight. We saw his fight with Alex Pereira, if I get him to the floor, it is not even a fight. If I just get my hands on him, it’s not even a fight. I will manhandle him,” said Du Plessis during his post-fight interview.

While Du Plessis has not yet confirmed if he will fight against Adesanya at UFC 293, several MMA pros believe that it is highly probable. Meanwhile, Adesanya is all fired up to insult the South African fighter with his performance when he goes head-to-head with Du Plessis.
