Israel Adesanya is a name that reverberates through the sporting history of UFC synonymously. The former champion is widely famed even beyond holding the middleweight title. The switch-stance striker out of Nigeria keeps the company of many combat sports peers. Recently 3x English TKD champ and head of “JIMartial-Artists” Joshua Iyalla collaborated with Adesanya on a demonstration. This was regarding MMA content showcasing on his Instagram Channel. Adesnaya has teased a hopeful message of his return recently.

“The Last Stylebender” last suffered a unanimous decision loss to Sean Strickland at UFC 293. The fighter has had multiple title contention throughout 2022-2023. These had been against Alex Pereira, Jared Cannonier, and Robert Whittaker. The fighter is thus on a self-imposed hiatus; he however does indulge in such MMA collaborations and meet-ups. Iyalla also hosted a plethora of video content demonstrating various combat styles like Taekwondo and Boxing as well. The MMA practitioner and super-enthusiast overtly considers Adesanya as his fighting model. He has many videos titled “Training to be like Adesanya“. One prime reaction on his account subsequently lauded the latest interaction saying “This Yuri Boyka kick is crazy.”

Adesanya keeps the company of many mixed martial artists and boxers as well. Recently Adesanya met up with fellow Nigerian, Anthony Joshua. The boxer takes on Otto Wallin in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia this weekend.

Anthony Joshua will be clashing against fellow boxer Otto Wallin under the banner of DAZN Boxing PPV. The extended Riyadh Season boxing would see the pro-boxer aspiring to get back to world title status against Swedish heavyweight Wallin. Both Wallin and him are competing for the third time this year. The matchup has seen the billing as the  ‘Day of Reckoning.’

Joshua takes cues from various mixed martial artists. Recently, he snubbed lineal heavyweight Tyson Fury. But conversely, he proclaimed “superhuman” Francis Ngannou as his inspiration. This was during a sitdown with Laura Woods for TNT Sports. More recently though, he met up with fellow Nigerian Israel Adesanya ahead of his matchup. Despite a self-imposed sabbatical till 2027, the fighter is willing to return to action if possible, soon. This comes in light of the historic UFC 300 card on the horizon. Furthermore, he met up with Joshua ahead of his much-anticipated clash. The match occurs in the Kingdom arena (from 7 p.m. UK / 2 p.m. ET) and would be a DAZN PPV event.
