Jose Aldo cries his eyes out while going up to the UFC Hall of Fame stage. The UFC has hosted some iconic competitors and moments for more than 30 years. Some were renowned champions, while others eventually won over the hearts of the public.
The Hall of Fame is a recognition that is given to fighters for their achievements and participation in the sport throughout their career. For some years now, the induction ceremony has been happening during International Fight Week in July. On July 6, inside the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, the UFC Hall of Fame ceremony took place this year. It is the prelude to UFC 290 on July 8 and was broadcasted live on UFC FIGHT PASS.
This time, Brazilian legend Jose Aldo was the fighter who got inducted into the UFC Hall of Fame and he was there to receive the honor. However, the moment which captured a lot of attention from fans was when Aldo was seen crying nonstop while he walked up to the stage. The fighter was extremely emotional and couldn’t contain his tears at that auspicious moment.

Aldo is one of the biggest legends of the sport and for many, he comes into the GOAT conversation. Jose Aldo in his prime was a beast with incredible boxing and solid takedown defense.
The Brazilian always gave entertaining fights and that’s the reason he is loved and respected by the fans. During the ceremony, Aldo was asked about his induction to which the fighter mentioned that a lot of his dreams had come true.
He said: “Very emotional, very hard to explain. Ever since I wanted to come to UFC I wanted to be a Champion and I got so much more. So, this is a lot of dreams coming true at the same time.”
When talking about his current boxing career, Aldo revealed that it’s easier on his body and he would like to continue it further. “I’m enjoying a lot obviously. Way better on my body than MMA. So, I’m working very hard, and let’s see how far that goes,” said Aldo. Jose is an inspiration for many and has helped UFC to raise the bar for upcoming young talents in the bantamweight and featherweight divisions.
