Watch: Nate Diaz assaults a NELK reporter at UFC 276 for tweets against his teammate

Nate got into an altercation with a reporter

Nate Diaz like everyone else seems to have had enough with the NELK boys and has taken it upon himself to exact justice on them. Backstage at UFC 276, the fighter got into an argument with Shawnymack, a reporter for the NELK boys channel, an exchange that ended in him getting slapped around by Diaz.

Diaz’s first interaction with the NELK Boys came when they sponsored Nate’s afterparty for UFC 263, via their new seltzer drink, “Happy Dad. “ From then on, Nate has been on cordial terms with the YouTube group. That was until today.

In Vegas to watch the fights and be around for International Fight week, Diaz was seen backstage at UFC 276, donning a classic Elvis Presley shirt with chains. While Diaz does have a reputation for breaking out into brawls against fighters, it is very rare that he lifts a finger on anyone who doesn’t fight for a living. A short clip of the incident started making rounds on social media.

The clip opens up with Diaz holding a straight face while Shawnymack introduces himself and the fighter to the camera. He said, “Fullsend MMA, look who just pulled up on us” With an unenthusiastic Diaz replying, “What’s up with it? ” Following this Shawnymack says, “Stockton’s finest, coming here to check out Suga Sean right?” after which Diaz confronted the reporter.

“You should have watched your tweets about my ni**a that fights this week” said Diaz, staring into the eyes of the reporter. Sensing the change in mood, moving back the reporter said, “Oh I know” at which point Diaz slaps the mic from his hand, before slapping “The OG” and leaving his hat flying.

It is unclear what tweets Nate is referring to however the ordeal could have been staged for the clicks since Nate was seen alongside other members of the NELK boys shortly after this sighting.

Currently, the Stockton native is trying to book his final fight on his current contract and he has called out Dustin Poirier and Michael Chandler among many others. The UFC however doesn’t seem that excited about letting him go off to another organization with his name value.
