UFC Lightweight fighter Michael Chandler certainly has his hands full at the moment as a coach on the latest season of The Ultimate Fighter. Chandler’s team, which is going against UFC superstar Conor McGregor’s team, is currently 5-0 after the latest episode. However, there seemed to be a minor argument between Michael Chandler and his teammate in the latest episode.

On episode 5 of The Ultimate Fighter, the canceled matchup between Brad Katona and Carlos Vera finally took place. The bout was called off due to a heated altercation between coaches. However, a minor altercation between Michael Chandler and Katona during the preparations also took place in the latest episode. While Brad was on Chandler’s team, he was rival coach McGregor’s teammate from SBG Ireland.

Katona had an issue with Michael Chandler about why they were not studying the film footage yet. Brad was too close to his bout in the latest season and had yet to review the footage. Chandler seemed uncomfortable explaining and tried to convince Katona that the coaches had his best interest at heart. However, Katona was reluctant and tried to explain what was in his best interest. Brad himself was aware of the nuisance he was being to Chandler, but he was looking out for himself.

After five episodes of The Ultimate Fighter, Team McGregor is yet to register a win. The Notorious continued his losing streak in the fifth episode when his prospect Carlos Vera lost the decision to Brad Katona in their bantamweight bout. Although the win was a bit controversial, Team McGregor even called out the judges for scoring.

However, with the latest episode concluded, Michael Chandler is only three wins away from a clean sweep over his rival, McGregor. While Vera did manage to impress McGregor with his slick spinning attacks, it failed to counter Katona’s relentless wrestling. Meanwhile, Conor McGregor is not yet deflated after taking back-to-back losses. He motivated his teammates during their training sessions to lift their spirits in the latest episode.

It ain’t about the wins and the losses, it’s about the journey and the experiences. They are all lessons: win, lose or draw, you learn and become better. That was it, we just took those lessons and worked to get better.” said McGregor. With only three more fights, Team McGregor’s making comeback would highly motivate its fighters. Apart from the happenings on The Ultimate Fighter, the chances of Conor McGregor fighting this year also appear to be very low.
