Joe Rogan was amazed by the personalized sneakers created for him by YouTuber Marko, who drew inspiration from his tattoos and favorite books. Customizing sneakers and shoes has long been a practice among sneaker enthusiasts, but in recent years, it has expanded beyond personal use. It was no surprise that when the UFC color commentator saw his pairs, he was surprised.

Prior to UFC 292, YouTuber Marko presented Joe Rogan with a specially crafted pair of Puma sneakers, that reflected Rogan’s preferences, such as his tattoos, life wisdom, well-known passion for hunting, etc. Marko also changed the Puma symbol to the JRE podcast logo.

The YouTuber made a whole video about how he made the sneakers and it took him 9 days to complete the project. “Dude! These are so cool,” Rogan said after getting his hands on the sneakers. “That is so cool. Dude, I’m going to wear these at the UFC weigh-ins today. I’m pumped, thank you very much. Thank you.” Rogan kept his promise by wearing the shoes during the weigh-ins, and the YouTuber was shocked as well as pleased by it.

Rogan believes that Off-White Nike sneakers are part of a conspiracy aimed at lowering children’s intelligence. He expressed his dislike for a distinctive feature of these collaborations, which is the red hangtag.

He said: “I was buying a pair of Nikes for my kid, and they were like, ‘Oh, those are Off-White.’ I was like, ‘What’s up with this green thing?’ [They said], ‘Oh, you leave that on.’ [I said], ‘Fuck you, I’m not leaving this stupid plastic tag on. No, you don’t leave that on.’ And these are huge. They’re cumbersome, they look dumb…This is probably a plot by the Russians, and the Chinese, and the Iranians to make sure our kids grow dumber and dumber.”
