Since joining UFC in 1997, Rogan has come a long way in this business. The 54-year-old is currently an extremely integral part of UFC, its history and its success. UFC president, Dana White brought Rogan and gave him the responsibility which proved to be an amazing move. Rogan made watching UFC fights much more interesting than it was earlier with his passionate commentary.

Rogan is an expert in this field and knows a lot about how fighters are moving, striking and building their game. His insights into a particular moment of a fight were so accurate that fans got absolutely soaked in the commentary. Currently, Rogan only commentates during the huge pay-per-view events as the UFC is giving new individuals the opportunity. Jon Anik, Daniel Cormier, and Michael Bisping are some of the other popular commentators but nobody has the popularity parallel to Rogan.

Other than being a UFC commentator, Rogan has also worked his way up to the top as a podcaster. His Spotify original show, “The Joe Rogan Experience” is the highest-grossing podcast in the world. The JRE also has attracted a lot of controversies due to the candid nature of the show. But despite all that, Spotify has been very supportive of Rogan.

Rogan is truly an example of hard work and consistency that paid off significantly but the whole process wasn’t that smooth. In 2011, UFC made an impressive deal with FOX TV for broadcasting rights. During the announcement of the deal, Rogan was given the responsibility to be the anchor. But unfortunately, it didn’t go as everybody thought.

Rogan started his monologue with a lot of mistakes as if he was not having a good day. But instantly it was known that Rogan was high on something. Rogan who is a huge promoter and user of recreational drugs it wasn’t something to be surprised off. But being high before an important moment like that wasn’t professional at all.

When Rogan introduced the panel everybody realised that he was high and it made them very uncomfortable. White was visibly angry which was obvious given the seriousness of the situation. It crossed the limit when Rogan mixed up the introduction of Georges St-Pierre and Frankie Edgar who were as confused as everybody else.

It surely was one of the most awkward moments in UFC history and Rogan must have had a lot of explaining to do back then. However, it seems like everything worked out as he wasn’t fired from his position.
