Kyle Larson is one of the most popular professional auto racing drivers. NASCAR is a popular stock car racing operating company. He has won 21 NASCAR Cup races and won the championship in 2021. He has been passionate about racing ever since he was young. The man is reported to be worth 12 million USD. However, Larson is one of the most admired drivers on the grid; he is also one of the most scrutinized, and most of the criticism over him mostly has to do with several controversies he has been part of.
In early 2020, Kyle Larson was caught dropping the N-word. During an iRacing event live-streamed on Twitch, the professional auto racer felt comfortable enough to utter the racial slur which historically has been used to demean people of African ethnicity. Larson thought he was in the comfort of his home and proceeded to say the word. Instead, it was a live stream to which thousands of viewers tuned in. The players of the game were shocked due it. Larson realizes his mistake after someone calls him out in the stream.
“Hey, can you hear me? Hey N*,” says Kyle Larson. The professional gamers in the stream were seen as distraught. Chip Ganassi Racing, a team that Larson was a part of, proceeded to fire him after the incident. This took a huge toll on his career. He was also indefinitely suspended by NASCAR the following day. Primary partners and sponsors like McDonald’s and Chevrolet decided to pull the plug on Larson. He was sent to a year-long sensitivity training. He returned to the series the next year and went on to win the championship.
Kyle Larson posted an apology video on Twitter after the incident. “I just wanna say I’m sorry, last night I made a mistake and said a word that should never be said. There is no excuse for that. I wasn’t raised that way. I feel very sorry for my family, my friends, and my partners. the NASCAR community and especially, the African American community. I understand the damage is probably unrepairable and I own up to that. But I just wanted to let you all know how sorry I am,” said Kyle Larson on Twitter.
Baseball pitcher Marcus Stroman’s fight call-out to Kyle Larson

Professional Baseball player Marcus Stroman is a popular pitcher in the community. He plays for The Chicago Cubs team in Major League Baseball. He is known as a unique pitcher in Baseball for his terrific athleticism.
During the Kyle Larson N-word fiasco, Stroman was disgusted by it. After Kyle Larson posted his apology video, Stroman needed to call him out. The pitcher had this to say. “He should never be allowed to race again in NASCAR. Said that derogatory word so nonchalantly. Your apology doesn’t matter. Post-career…I’ll fight this man in a UFC event for charity. He needs his ass beat. Would love to hear him say that word in the octagon!” Marcus Stroman’s tweet has since then been deleted.
Since Marcus Stroman is part African American, he felt slighted. “It’s a shame that your child has to grow up with a racist father. The apple never falls far from the tree. Thank you for continuing to support and allow racism to be present in society. True role model you are!” said Stroman in Larson’s apology tweet. Ever since his call out to fight, there has been no talk or negotiations regarding it. Kyle Larson has not responded to the challenge.
