Joe Rogan has controversial take about Trans women fighting in MMA
UFC commentator Joe Rogan is not for trans women fighting against women in an octagon. The popular podcaster was also attacked for this opinion by many people.
Joe Rogan is no stranger to being in hot water. One of the most controversial opinions from the MMA connoisseur is when he said trans women should not be fighting in MMA against women. The UFC commentator believes the “male hormones” will have a huge advantage over female MMA fighters.
In an interview with Jordan Peterson on his podcast, Rogan said, “It is ridiculous to have transwomen compete against women in MMA.” Rogan claims he was heavily criticized for this stance and was also labeled “transphobic”. “You want to have them do that in chess, you want to have them do that in something non-physical? Sure,” added Rogan talking to Jordan Peterson.
Rogan believes no transwoman should be allowed to compete with females in physical combat. The UFC commentator later agreed with Peterson’s statement that said, “A tough woman can beat a variety of men. But a really tough man can beat all women.” Rogan has never been known to censor himself on the podcast and always speaks what’s on his mind. This conversation sure did stir up a lot of controversies.
What is Joe Rogan’s problem with MMA judging?

A problem that never really has a solution in the world of mixed martial arts that seemed to satisfy almost all parties is scoring. Joe Rogan is like any other MMA fan who believes the scoring system needs a lot of tweaking in the sport of mixed martial arts. This has been a conversation that the UFC commentator has started on various occasions over time.
In one of the podcast episodes with Gina Carano, Rogan discusses how scoring/judging could be made better. “We need a better system. We don’t need boxing’s system. It shouldn’t have anything to do with 10-9. There should be a bunch of factors like volume, amount of strikes, submissions takedowns, all the damage, all that sh*t,” said Rogan on his podcast.
Joe Rogan’s conversation with Gina in this episode was a reaction to the controversial fight between Rose Namajunas and Carla Esparza at UFC 274. Both the female strawweights barely initiated any action in the fight that was worth giving points. What do you think of Rogan’s scoring suggestion?
