He knocked out Alex Pereira with his devastating punches and has knocked out many fighters with his kicks. Yet Adesanya was challenged by a YouTuber who wanted to take damage from his kicks.
The past few weeks have been very eventful for Israel Adesanya. He was signed as one of the first Prime Sponsored Athletes in UFC, had a training session with Logan Paul and made an appearance on the Impaulsive podcast. During his training session with Logan Paul and Alexander Volkanovski, a YouTuber asked Adesanya to hit him with a body kick. The person in question was a reporter /YouTuber named Derek that works for Jake Paul’s Betr Media.
Regardless, Adesanya positioned himself to kick the person. He also issued a warning before striking him down. “ You’ll feel pain but I won’t hurt you, ” said Adesanya. What followed was Israel Adesanya throwing a clean kick to the liver. Although the style bender did not apply much power, Derek was squirming in pain. Israel Adesanya also helped the poor guy who found it hard to stand straight after facing the liver shot.
Apart from Derek, there are also other bodybuilders and YouTubers taking damage from professional MMA fighters head-on. Fitness model Mike O’Hearn taking a body shot from Ian Garry is also another one of the similar case. Regardless, professional fighters can cause a lot of damage to common folks even though they go easy.

I was doing kickboxing over there, I had no MMA, nothing, I was kickboxing. I had MMA already, but it wasn’t sharp. It was blunt. My jiu-jitsu was blunt, very blunt. So we’re sparring, I don’t know if we did two rounds or one, it’s so long ago as well. This is 2014, So long ago, I remember like on the grappling he had me. But on striking, I just messed him up,” said Adesanya detailing his sparring session.
