Will Smith was in tears after winning the Oscar

The 94th Academy Awards, a much awaited star studded event, had everything including a significant scandal. A seemingly outraged Will Smith smacked comedian Chris Rock at the Oscars 2022, leaving people around the world in utter disbelief.

Renowned Actor Will Smith struck Chris Rock, a well known stand-up comedian, after a wisecrack was made about his wife, Jada Pinkett Smith, who is currently diagnosed with Alopecia (an auto-immune disorder).

The altercation between the two stars resulted due to an distasteful jokemade by Chris Rock at the cost of the Jada Pinkett Smith. Referring to her current look, as she is bald, Chris calls Jada out as “GI Jane”, as he presented the best documentary award.

What was just a comic routine by Chris was purviewed as insult on his wife by Will Smith. What followed left not only the glittering audience bewildered but the whole world, as the ceremony was broadcasted live. An enrgaged Will Smith walked up to to Rock and smacked him across his face and returned to his seat, that was adjacent to his wife.

Pretty soon, everyone’s reaction to the incident flooded social media, including several MMA Personalities. Some even commented on his ability to take a shot.

Dana White applauded, the Best Actor Winner, Will Smith for his act. Having thoroughly enjoyed every bit of the altercation, he takes to Twitter, “FINALLY!!!!! there’s an Oscar show worth watching. AND Chris Rock chin.”

Initially the incident was thought to be scripted, but officials later confirmed that wasn’t the case. Chris Rock, reportedly, refuses to press charges against Will. Even a statement was issued by the Los Angeles Police Department, that read:

“LAPD investigative entities are aware of an incident between two individuals during the Academy Awards program. The incident involved one individual slapping another. The individual involved has declined to file a police report. If the involved party desires a police report at a later date, LAPD will be available to complete an investigative report.”
