Recently, on Joe Rogan’s podcast, rapper Ice Cube detailed how he turned down a $9 million movie role because he wasn’t vaccinated. Cube mentioned during the interview how, in Hollywood, all the big production companies made it mandatory for actors to get vaccinated.
Cube was offered a big chunk of money for a role, but the rapper decided not to get vaccinated. He said that The Hollywood Reporter and other well-known Hollywood news sources made it known publicly that he wasn’t immunized and lost the movie role as a result. The 54-year-old accused them of disclosing his private medical records without his permission.
He said: “I thought it was chicken sh**….It’s like what happened to the HIPAA laws you know?… You know you are not supposed to reveal a person’s medical status…I just thought it was some bullsh*t They try to, you know, put my business in the street, put pressure on me, everybody around me tell me how stupid I am so I can go get vaxxed and say you know: ‘Please let me do the movie,” on the podcast.
Ice Cube said: “You know that was never gonna happen. I don’t care if it was 20 million. That was never gonna happen.” Rogan strictly supported Ice Cube’s decision and said: “And if you got injured from that vaccine you would have paid that 20 million to be healthy again.” Rogan explained that many people were forced to take the COVID-19 vaccine, which wasn’t right for various reasons.
Joe Rogan on his take on vaccines and not being an anti-vax person
During the post-pandemic scenario, Joe Rogan made a lot of headlines for his stand on vaccines and the need for them. However, for his opinions, the UFC color commentator got a lot of backlash from the public.
While cleaning the air, Rogan in one of his podcasts mentioned that he isn’t aga vaccines as his parents are already vaccinated. According to Joe Rogan, young people should not take vaccines as their immunity system is pretty strong.
He said: “I’m not an anti-vax person. In fact, I said, I believe they’re safe and I encouraged many people to take them. My parents are vaccinated. I just said that I if you’re a young, healthy person, that you need it.” Since then, Rogan has frequently spoken up about the big medical corporations that are selling these vaccines and the negative points of them.
