Khabib Nurmagedov and Tyson Fury
Khabib Nurmagomedov finally responded to Tyson Fury’s appreciation.
Tyson Fury is the current WBC and The Ring heavyweight champion of the world. The Brit recently defeated Deontay Wilder and got one step closer to becoming one of the greatest of all time. His trilogy fight with Wilder was considered one of the best rivalries in boxing history. The boxer has remained undefeated throughout his 14 years of a professional career and has defeated everybody who came to challenge his throne.
Fury recently put out a tweet on his official account in which the heavyweight champion showed his respect and admiration towards UFC legend, Khabib Nurmagomedov by tagging him. The ‘ Gypsy King’ congratulated Khabib for achieving everything without failing and getting to the top. “This man did it right. Got it & won & got out on the top. Big respect @TeamKhabib,” wrote Fury in his tweet.
Khabib Nurmagomedov replied to Tyson Fury’s tweet
After Tyson Fury tweeted about Nurmagomedov, the Dagestani shared his reaction. The retired UFC legend posted the tweet by Fury on his Instagram account and wrote ” Real recognize Real,”.
For Nurmagomedov the intention behind the post was to humbly accept the praise given by a fellow combat sports fighter. With that caption, the ‘Eagle’ described Fury as an original fighter who has the ability to acknowledge other fighters who have worked hard and achieved greatness.
Nurmagomedov has definitely made a legacy for himself which will go down in history as one of the greatest of all time. The fighter started his UFC journey back in 2013 against Kamal Sharlorus at UFC on FX 1. Since then the master of grappling went on to defeat and dominate the entire lightweight roster. Nurmagomedov won the lightweight title after defeating Al Laquinta at UFC 223 and then successfully defended it thrice.
Throughout his undefeated streak, the fighter went through incredibly tough fighters like Conor McGregor, Dustin Poirer, and Justin Gaethje like they were nothing. At UFC 254, after winning against Gaethje, the fighter announced his retirement from the sport with an unmatched record of 29-0.
