Up until yesterday, things were all going to plan as the UFC had confirmed that Joe Rogan, Jon Anik, and Daniel Cormier were the selected trio to be the voices in the commentary booth. However, the latest reports suggest the A-list celebrity, Rogan won’t be making it to the UFC 271 event. The pay-per-view event will be headlined by the stunning middleweight title rematch between Israel Adesanya vs Robert Whittaker.

This event is scheduled to take place at the Toyota Center in Houston, Texas tomorrow. Rogan was also not present at the usual ceremonial weigh-ins which started speculating a lot of rumors but later confirmed by MMA reporters that the podcast kingpin won’t be part of the broadcast team. This event is stacked and fans were really expecting to hear the voice of Rogan during the fights.

Reporter Aaron Bronsteter wrote on Twitter confirming that Rogan will be snubbed from the commentary booth. The reporter wrote that the reason behind his absence is a “scheduling conflict”. Rogan was seen at the first PPV event of 2022 at UFC 270 and his next appearance will most likely be at UFC 272 according to reports.

Rogan will be replaced by the UFC legend Michael Bisping. Bisping is also a fan favorite when it comes to commentary. UFC 271 will be the first PPV event that Bisping will be calling. The fighter has already hinted in his tweets that he is flying out to Houston. Bisping is known for his funny personality behind the mic and fans would be excited to see how the Englishman does in his PPV debut.

Joe has been catching a lot of heat for the recent controversies surrounding his podcasts. The commentator was slammed by various media outlets and the internet for his past racist comments and vaccine misinformation on his podcast. Despite the controversies, fans were hopeful that UFC President Dana White would not give in to the backlash and still let Rogan call the event.
