“No, not really,” Robbie Lawler gives reason as to why he has no interest in a potential Jorge Masvidal fight
Robbie Lawler and Jorge Masvidal
Robbie Lawler thinks a fight against Jorge Masvidal does not create any excitement for the fighter.
Former welterweight champion, Robbie Lawler was posed with the idea of fighting welterweight superstar and contender Jorge Masvidal but for “Ruthless” that fight does not bring much to the table for him. Lawler is set to fight in one of the most anticipated rematches of all time at UFC 266. He will take on UFC’s fan-favorite Nick Diaz in the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada on September 25th.

Recently he spoke to MMAMania about the potential Masvidal matchup after the Diaz fight. “No, not really,” Lawler said to MMAMania.com. “I trained with Jorge. Spent a lot of time with him at American Top Team. It doesn’t excite me to get training.”
Robbie Lawler has other fighters in the list
One of the main reasons why “Ruthless” believes he might not accept a Masvidal fight is because there is nothing much that the “Gamebred” offers. Lawler would say yes if Masvidal was probably the champion. “It all depends. If there is something maybe I have that so-and-so wants, then maybe I’ll fight. But if it’s just a fight to fight, there are plenty of guys out there that I can fight who I don’t know and have spent time with,” said Lawler.
Robbie has a record of 28-15-0 in his career as a professional MMA fighter. He is coming off a four-fight losing streak and will look to get back on the winning charts with his next fight against Nick Diaz at UFC 266. After Nick who would you like Lawler to fight next?
