Sean O’Malley sends a hysterical response to Pedro Munhoz’s eye injury and how the fight turned out. O’Malley and Munhoz crossed paths at UFC 276 but the fight was not expected to end like this. Both started off well and were looking confident to take initiative. The first round ended with a couple of strikes being exchanged. In the second round, O’Malley mistakenly touched Munhoz’s eyes with his fingers while returning to punch. It looked like it was nothing, however, Munhoz stopped fighting immediately and complained about the eye. The referee stopped the fight and after checkup it was announced that the fight will be a no contest.

Munhoz after getting out of the hospital shared a video of him talking about his injury and what happened during the fight on Instagram. He said :

” I couldn’t see anything for 20 minutes. I was taken to the hospital and they used a special eye drop that made my eye numb so they could open my eye. They did an exam and the medical report I have is that there’s a scratch in the cornea all the way around it. I couldn’t open my eye because of that and couldn’t see anything.”

After Munhoz posted that clip, O’Malley took to Instagram to immediately show his reaction. The fighter who is known for his sarcastic and comedic remarks didn’t waste the opportunity to roast Munhoz on this occasion.

O’Malley in his Instagram story made fun of Munhoz by recreating his post. O’Malley shut down his left eye acting like Munhoz and said ” Hey guys, sorry my fight didn’t go as planned. Got fu**** poked.”

It was hilarious and at the same time a little disrespectful from the outside. However, it is hard to tell what the fighter is trying to say due his reputation of being frequently funny.

O’Malley in his Twitter also shared a youtube video suggesting that the eye injury of Munhoz took place when he got hit by one of O’Malley’s punches.

O’Malley didn’t get any damages in the fight and it’s easy to say that he will get back into the octagon very soon. It will be interesting to see who is going to fight O’Malley next.
