“Don’t say stupid s**t” – Sean O’Malley lashes out at Daniel Cormier’s biased commentary post UFC 269 fight
Sean O'Malley retorts back at Daniel Cormier
UFC 269 produced some of the best fights in UFC history. One of them was Sean O’Malley vs Raulian Paiva. O’Malley and Paiva both came in with super impressive records. O’Malley had an impressive record of 15-1-0 and Paiva had a record of 21-4-0.
The Bantamweight division fight was a delight to watch as both the fighters were evenly matched. Sean O’Malley or ‘Suga’ was heavily motivated and had an inherent spark in him as soon as the bell rang to signify the start of the match.
O’Malley started capitalizing on his wide reach by sniping precise punches on Paiva from a safe distance while Paiva was looking to finish the match by targeting O’Malley’s weak spot, his injury-prone legs. O’Malley got the upper hand on Paiva as the round progressed towards the end and in the dying moments, launched an explosive combo on him and won the fight via TKO.
Daniel Cormier seems to have had some issues with the fight because he was seen giving a prejudiced commentary during the entirety of the fight.
“Daniel Cormier hates me”, suspects Sean O’Malley
In a post-fight press conference, O’Malley was asked about how he felt about the match. He responded by dissing Cormier by saying, “I was looking at the clock to see how much time I had left, cuz some people, Daniel Cormier were like, ‘Oh my god! He’s looking at the clock!’ Of course, I was looking at the clock. What are you talking about dude, If I don’t look at the clock how am I gonna know how much time do I have?“

He further continued by saying, “If I don’t look at the clock, I don’t know how much time I have left. I land a big shot and I look at the clock. I need to know if I need to empty my tank to take out this guy. That bugged me out. He talked like an amateur.”
