“I will show you the messages”- Sean Strickland reveals why he passed on the opportunity to fight Paulo Costa

After been feuding for what seemed like ages with Paulo Costa, Sean Strickland accepts to fight Alex Pereira. This has left the former highly infuriated as he was hoping to fighting Sean.

Sean is currently on track to fight Alex Pereira come July. Strickland, who is ranked #4 in the middle weight division, is riding a six streak win with his most recent victory being against Jack Hermansson. Alex Periera, on the other hand, turned to MMA full time last year and has since, won two fights.

Strickland, in an interview with The Shmo, was asked as to why he wasn’t interested fighting with Paulo . While directing his answer to Paulo, he says, ” I called you out multiple times before anything and the UFC said Fu** no. Means, I’m gonna beat the shit out of you and they don’t want me to fight you.”

Strickland continues saying, ” I will show you (Paulo) the messages of them saying no I can’t fight you.” He then curses him while telling that if he wanted to have a go at him, then he should come down to Las Vegas and they can have at it.

Costa has unleased his wrath on Sean after the latter was booked for a fight against Alex Pereira. The Brazilian took to social media to share a screenshot of an Article that breaks the news about the fight, while captioning the post “Haha I told you guys. rats run way always.” He shares another post where he has again equated Strickland to a rat.

After being rejected as a contender, Costa has now aimed his focus on trying to fight Derek Brunson by calling him out via Twitter.
