UFC has again hiked the price of pay-per-view events by $5. With the start of 2022, UFC fans who want to purchase Pay-per-view events on ESPN+ now have to pay $74.99. This new raise will come into effect on January 22nd with UFC 270 Pay-per-view event. The main event of UFC 270 will be a Heavyweight title bout between champion, Francis Ngannou, and challenger, Ciryl Gane.
An increase in PPV events has automatically increased the price for those who purchase the ESPN+ PPV annual package. The revised price of the PPV annual subscription is going from $89.98 to $99.98.
With the new PPV price prices, UFC has increased the amount for the third time in recent years. The new price is $5 higher than 2021 which was $69.99, the 2021 rate was again $5 higher from 2019 and 2018 which was $64.99. Dana often brags about running the most successful MMA promotion in the world, but the criticism he receives for not paying his fighters enough, makes him look like a real a**hole.
“What the hell are we doing here Dana“- Sean O’Malley is amazed by this decision

Sean O’Malley is making some good money for himself, but most of it is coming from things other than competing, he is too criticized for not fighting high ranked opponents, but he has made it pretty clear that he won’t do it until the UFC renegotiates his contract, and give him some more money for the same. Talking about this price hike, in his recent interview, he said, “Dana White raises pay-per-view by five dollars. What the hell are we doing here Dana?”
Many speculated that this could mean an increase in fighter’s salary, but Sean O’Malley believes it isn’t necessarily the case. He said, “I doubt it. But, could be. It is just so easy to stream it illegally. Not talking from experience, but just saying it. Whoever is in control of legal streams at the UFC, they need someone that is good enough at hacking right before the main event starts. Every single time that they just shut it right before the good stuff.”
