Darren Till is putting all the work in the world and he does it by recognizing the upcoming talent bringing something new to the table, case in point, training with Khamzat Chimaev. Till went to Sweden a couple of weeks ago to train with upcoming title prospect Khamzat Chimaev and former 2-time light-heavyweight title challenger Alexander Gustaffson at Allstars Training Center. Gustaffson has been heard that he would be making his heavyweight debut soon.

Till, former welterweight title challenger who’s now fighting in middleweight, is on a pretty low ride as he has won only 1 of his last five fights, but still carries a pretty impressive record of 18 wins and just 4 losses. Chimaev on the other hand has torn into the UFC with 4 straight wins, all of them finishing and getting the first two wins within a span of just 2 days. Chimaev is yet to have his fifth fight but is likely going to face a former welterweight title challenger in Gilbert Burns at UFC 273.

Darren Till seems ready to get back to Octagon as soon as possible

Till took to Twitter to post his flex of training hard for a week straight and he seems optimistic in his attitude. He wrote in the captions: “What she sees… Good solid week of training… @Blockassetco @Kaobon @allstarsgymsweden [inserts gorilla and wolf emoji]

Till’s return to the Octagon is yet to be decided but if former title challenger Paulo Costa can make the 185-lbs weight without any issues, then that fight can be the one to make. Costa last fought and lost his fight against Marvin Vettori in a fight originally scheduled for middleweight but due to Costa’s unprofessionalism in weight-cutting, the fight became a light-heavyweight bout.

Who do you think Till should return against next? Also, what do you think of Till training with Chimaev? People who’ve trained with Chimaev speak highly of the potential the Chechnyan-Sweden fighter has and is capable of becoming a UFC champion as soon as possible. Former double champion of UFC Henry Cejudo has even suggested Chimaev go for the middleweight title fight against current champion Israel Adesanya as Cejudo can fairly see Chimaev winning. Who do you think is next for Chimaev if he defeats Gilbert Burns?
