Spotify removes over 100 episodes of Joe Rogan’s podcast

Joe Rogan has been the talk of the town. The UFC commentator and podcast kingpin has been receiving more heat than ever. However, Rogan has managed to keep his cool amidst the controversies surrounding him and he felt it was important to let the fans know how is dealing with it.
Joe Rogan, a veteran UFC commentator, podcast host, and comedian, recently got into trouble surrounding his podcast. Joe has been in the world of podcasts for the longest and is still the most popular podcast in the world. The UFC icon got into trouble on accusations of vaccine misinformation and using racial slurs on his podcast several times in the past.
Many renowned artists who stream their content on Spotify asked the platform to take firms actions on the issue, they even demanded his podcast to be removed from the platform.

Spotify’s CEO, Daniel Ek talked about this controversy in his recent interview, he said, “Not only are some of Joe Rogan’s comments incredibly hurtful — I want to make clear that they do not represent the values of this company. I know this situation leaves many of you feeling drained, frustrated and unheard.”
He condemns Rogan’s actions but he doesn’t believe in silencing him or removing him from the platform, “We should have clear lines around content and take action when they are crossed, but cancelling voices is a slippery slope,” he writes. “Looking at the issue more broadly, it’s critical thinking and open debate that powers real and necessary progress.”
In another interesting turn of events, Spotify allegedly removed 113 episodes of “The Joe Rogan Experience” from the platform. However, his episode with Dr. Robert Malone, the one that caught the most attention is still on the platform.
