Dana White, Nate Diaz, and other MMA stars react to the sad demise of UFC legend BJ Penn’s father

One of the mixed martial arts’ greatest fighters, BJ Penn has lost someone very close to his heart.
BJ Penn is one of the greatest to ever do it in the sport of Mixed Martial Arts and one of the best to grace the UFC octagon. Penn has been the welterweight champion and the lightweight champion. The fighter has lost his father yesterday and shared with the world the sad news.
Jay Dee Penn Sr. was the father of UFC Hall of Famer BJ Penn and he was 76 years old when he passed away. Mr. Penn was battling Parkinson’s and Alzheimer’s disease for the past few years. The UFC legend has not yet confirmed the cause of his father’s death.
He wrote on Instagram saying, “Love you Pop! Thanks for teaching me how to think past the pain, never give up, and the importance of America’s children who died for our freedoms. Love you forever to the sky. I will celebrate you till I see you again! Thanks for giving me the greatest life ever and always hugging me and making me breakfast.”

UFC superstar, Nate Diaz paid his respect on Instagram by posting a picture of Penn and his parents. The fighter wrote, “Know what’s in front of you when it is Good vibes to the Penns And RIP to a real OG Penns pops.” Nate’s older brother Nick Diaz fought the UFC legend in 2011 and beat him via unanimous decision.
The UFC President Dana White also posted a picture on Instagram in tribute of the great fighter’s father. “RIP Mr Penn. My condolences to BJ Penn Mrs Penn and the rest of the family,” wrote Dana on Instagram.

The great Renzo Gracie, UFC fighter Mackenzie Dern, UFC legend Matt Sera, Chito Vera were some of the many people from the MMA community who shared their grief under Dana White’s post condoling BJ Penn’s father’s demise.
