The UFC #7 ranked lightweight absolutely put on a stunning show of grappling against former lightweight interim champ Tony Ferguson. UFC 262 went down at Toyota Center in Houston, Texas. Beneil Dariush won the bout via unanimous decision after a dominant display of wrestling.
Despite his win, Beneil Dariush was absolutely hated by the crowd as he was booed while he beat up the fan’s favorite El Cucuy. Tony Ferguson despite losing stole the show. UFC’s biggest lightweight fighter, Dustin Poirier could not believe what he saw when Beneil Dariush popped Tony with a heel lock and Ferguson still continued. The Louisiana fighter wrote, “Tony is a wild man!!” on Twitter.
UFC middleweight contender Derek Brunson is confident that Tony is not a human. “Tony Ferguson is built different!” wrote Derek on Twitter after UFC 262. Meanwhile, Tony’s former opponent Justin Gaethje was pretty sure that this fight would be the “Fight Of The Night”. “This is a lock for fight of the night. Let’s go,” wrote Justin on Twitter.
American commentator Teddy Atlas was also in awe after the fight, “Webster’s Dictionary should just put a picture of Ferguson for the definition of toughness,” wrote Teddy Atlas.
Edman Shahbazyan was surprisingly complimenting Beneil on his successful bout. “Dominance performance!! Congrats Beneil Dariush,” he wrote.
