The fans just witnessed one of the most heated press conferences in UFC history as Jorge Masvidal and Colby Covington meet each other on the same stage for the first time since breaking up their friendship.
UFC 272 is only days away and we have one of the most amazing grudge fights in the history of the promotion. Jorge Masvidal and Colby Covington will face each other in the main event this weekend in front of a packed T-Mobile Arena crowd in Las Vegas, Nevada. From friends to enemies, the two have come a long way and are ready to settle things inside the octagon.
If there’s something that comes close to the excitement of Covington’s and Masvidal’s fight, it is their press conferences. One could bet all their money that this presser was going to be a hit and the two welterweights sure did raise the temperature in the room. In a heated exchange, Covington managed to get the best of Masvidal’s cool and almost got a water bottle thrown at him.
“You’re a lying a** piece of sh*t,” Colby taunts Jorge Masvidal at the press conference
“You still got your Obama phone?” yelled Colby at Masvidal when talking about their past life. “I never had an Obama phone,” said Masvidal but things got out of hand when Covington called Masvidal a lier. “Yeah, you did. You lying a** piece of sh*t. You’re a lying a** f**king piece of sh*t, b*tch.”
When the two fighters decided to get off their feet, the security had to be called to restrain the two. Dana White, who was holding off Masvidal would’ve done a really bad job if Jorge actually threw the water bottle at his opponent. Jorge attempted to throw the water bottle and gets a flinch out of his opponent.
This press conference was full of heat and made sure they got the fans around the world hyped for their blockbuster fight this weekend. Both the superstars are coming off losses against the champion Kamaru Usman. Who do you think wins this grudge match?
