UFC Heavyweight Tai Tuivasa pulled off the biggest victory of his UFC career and possibly one of the biggest upsets in UFC heavyweight history, as he knocks out the promotion’s knockout king Derrick Lewis at the co-main event of UFC 271. Those weren’t punches but some hard thrown elbows that gave Tuivasa the edge and turned the game for his favour. Round 1: Both the fighters are patient and calculated. Lot of feints from Tuivasa. A low kick from Tuivasa. Lewis staying patient. Tuivasa gets Lewis in the clinch. Tuivasa putting the pressure. The referee breaks down due to no action. A high kick from Lewis. Some pressure and a huge right from Lewis wobbles Tuivasa. Some clinch work begins immediately.

Round 2: Another round of patience and calculation. Lewis hurts Tuivasa out of nowhere. Tuivasa takes recourse to the cage side and goes clinching again. A takedown defence by Tuivasa. As soon as they do another round of striking, Tuivasa lands some huge elbows in the short-range distance and as soon as the second elbow lands, Lewis falls face flat.
