Gilbert Burns believes that it’s going to be a war between him and Khamzat Chimaev and predicts a win via finish.
Burns and Chimaev are all set to fight each other at UFC 273 pay-per-view event on April 9. The event will take place inside the VyStar Veterans Memorial Arena in Jacksonville, Florida. The fight has an enormous hype around it and the excitement is massive among the fans. Most of it is due to the increasing fan base of ‘The Borz’ who has dominated everyone since his UFC debut.
But this time things aren’t that easy for the Russian as Burns is going to be the toughest challenge of his professional life. It’s going to be interesting to see if all the hype about Chimaev is true or not.
Gilbert Burns talks about the fight with Khamzat Chimaev
Burns recently did a virtual interview with TMZ Sports on their YouTube channel. In the interview, the Brazilian discussed how he thinks the fight with Chimaev will turn out.
Burns revealed that the fight is going to be war and it’s going to be hard for both the fighters. Burns explained that Chimaev is an extremely tough and hungry guy who will come out to entertain the fight fans.
The fighter explained that he is going to be the winner of the bout via submission or Knockout. Burns is certain that the fight will not go to the judges but will most probably end in a finish in the second or third round.
“I think it’s gonna be a war, I don’t think it’s gonna be that easy. I think that guy’s a dog, he’s gonna come hungry, excited trying to put on s show and so am I. And I think my arm raised, I don’t know how maybe a submission, maybe a knockout but I don’t see a decision. I see a knockout or a submission, second round or third round finish,” said Burns.
Both Burns and Chimaev are extremely violent fighters with the capabilities to knock out each other. Along with that, both have great wrestling and grappling backgrounds. This puts them on equal footing and unpredictable results.
