The story behind Derrick Lewis’ hilarious Ronda Rousey callout

Derrick Lewis asks about Ronda Rousey
Derrick Lewis is undoubtedly one of the funniest, if not, THE funniest fighter in the UFC. The Black Beast gave us fans an amazing moment at UFC Fight Night 105 as he called out Ronda Rousey in the post-fight interview.
To date, Derrick Lewis’ call out of Ronda Rousey remains one of the best post-fight octagon interviews in the history of the promotion. In 2017, Derrick was matched up against Travis Browne at UFC Fight Night 105, one of the heavyweight prospects of that time and most famously known as the husband of former UFC champion, Ronda Rousey.
Derrick headed into the fight with a five-fight win streak and fought Travis in a back-and-forth battle. However, Lewis got the last laugh when he defeated Browne with a stunning TKO to help him extend his win streak. Despite the amazing fight, it is what happened after the fight that people still find most memorable about that event.
In the post-fight interview, Derrick was asked about his knockout and he took a jab at his opponent saying, “I just knew I had a bigger heart than him, ya know? He calls himself a man but he likes to put his hands on women, so forget that guy I’ve got much more heart than he has, ya know?” And then gave the fans one of the greatest one-liners of all time. “Where Ronda Rousey fine ass at?” said Lewis, which is still a meme that trends among the MMA community.

It is worth mentioning that Ronda and Travis were together when the fight happened. The UFC former champ is still married to Browne and has kids of their own.
Derrick did not stop his trolling just inside the octagon. The Black Beast took things to his social media and posted fan-made memes about his hilarious call-out. One of the best memes on Lewis’ profile remains to be the edit of Derrick and Ronda as the stars of the romance flick, The Notebook.
Derrick is still entertaining his fans inside and outside the octagon. He has one of the best social media accounts among the fighters and never shies away from trolling. He has some of the best one-liners in the promotion’s history. Is Derrick the funniest MMA fighter of all time?
