“There’s no luck factor”- Colby Covington states he will beat Conor McGregor ’10/10 times’ in a possible money fight
Colby Covington- Conor McGregor
UFC welterweight Colby Covington is all in for a money fight, but for that to happen, a megastar like Conor McGregor will have to face a long and tough night against him, at least according to him. Covington last fought to win a dominant unanimous decision at UFC 272 against another megastar, Covington’s former teammate and friend, now fierce rival Jorge Masvidal.
McGregor on the other hand has been taking a layoff for a while from the fight game after he brutally fractured his shin bone in his last fight at UFC 264 against fellow UFC lightweight Dustin Poirier, who’s supposed to be on Covington’s hate list as well. McGregor is now expected to fight this year in early fall as per UFC President Dana White if things sail smoothly.
Colby Covington believes he beats Conor McGregor 10/10 times
Covington arrived at the sets of FULL SEND PODCAST hosted by Youtube sensations and successful entrepreneurs, The Nelk Boys to be a part of one of their episodes. There Covington talked about many things including sex life, the importance of free speech, his rivalry with Porier and Masvidal, his history with the American Top Team, and much more. Therefore, Covington also weighs on how a fight against McGregor would go down.
“If you’re talking about 170 [welterweight], that’s not his [McGregor’s] weight class,” says Covington “I would [fight McGregor] but he is not gonna fight someone where he knows there’s a zero per cent chance to win… because there’s no luck factor like he can’t even hit lightning in a bottle… realistically I beat that guy 10/10 times if we’re talking statistics and life’s all about numbers so…” concludes Covington.
What do you make of Covington’s assessment of him going down against McGregor? Who do you think would win that fight? Also, do you think Covington will get a third title shot for as many years he has as a fighter? What do you think is next for both Covington and McGregor in their respective fighting careers?
