Belal Muhammad is currently in Las Vegas preparing for his against Vincent Luque at UFC fight night. He is training with the Dagestani fighters like Khabib Nurmagomedov, Islam Makhachev, and many more.
Belal Muhammad has already started his fight camp in Las Vegas ahead of his fight on April 16. However, he is also there to support and corner his teammates who will be fighting at UFC Vegas 49. Two of the fighters Belal Muhammad would be cornering this Saturday night are Ignacio Bahamomdes and Ramiz Brahimaz. Apart from them his other teammate Carlos Hernandez is also going to have his UFC debut at UFC Vegas 49 prelims.
Belal Muhammad on training with Dagestani fighters
Recently, the fighter sat down with Schmo to talk about his experience at Las Vegas ahead of his fight. When Schmo questioned about Belal’s experience after training with Islam Makhachev and other Dagestan fighters, Belal responded saying:
“These guys train differently. It doesn’t matter who is in front of them. They know what they are gonna do. They work hard. When you work hard you do all the right things it doesn’t matter who your opponent is because whoever they put in front of you, you are ready to go… these guys train for everyone.“
Even Makhachev has always been vocal about this. He has previously mentioned that they always prepare for every possible scenario in the fight. They sharpen every weapon of their arsenal before going to a fight. Recently, Islam also commented saying that it won’t affect him if UFC decides to change his opponent even on Friday, a day before his fight. So, fighting Bobby Green on a two weeks notice is not a problem for him.
Be it as it may, Belal is all praise of Isl for taking this fight on such short notice. The reason is, he believes Islam has everything to lose by fighting against Green. So taking such a fight shows the kind of fighter Makhachev is.
“Bobby green has an awkward style. The fact that Islam is willing to take that fight and he has everything to lose really nothing to gain because people are still gonna hate on him if he comes out and finish him quick. It just shows what kind of fighter he is. He is a true champion.” Belal added.
