“This idiot talked about my kids,” Jorge Masvidal talks why loss to Colby Covington hurts, says will break his jaw in street
Jorge Masvidal and Colby Covington at UFC 272
A loss always hurts but losing to one of your biggest enemies in life hurts worse. Jorge Masvidal was totally disappointed with how the fight against his grudge rival Colby Covington played out in the main event of UFC 272.
Jorge Masvidal vs Colby Covington has been a fight in the making for many years. The grudge match became a reality yesterday when the two former friends took the center stage of the octagon in the main event of UFC 272. The fight took place at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada and Masvidal failed to capitalize on the opportunity to avenge his, and his gym’s honor against Covington.
Colby defeated Masvidal via unanimous decision after completely dominating the fight for five rounds. Masvidal talks about his defeat in the post-fight press conference and says why it hurts to lose against someone like Colby. The lead-up to the fight was very heated as “Chaos” decided to involve Masvidal’s kids and wife in his verbal warfare. As determined as Jorge was to win the fight, Colby got the better of him in the octagon.
Jorge Masvidal says he will give it all to beat up Covington in the streets
“F**king none of it is personal but it just sucks because this idiot talked about my kids, you know?” said Masvidal in the post-fight presser talking to the media. “He is still somebody, if I see him out in the streets, I am going to give my everything to break his f**king jaw. It doesn’t matter if I lost wrestling scrambles tonight. He is still a f**kin pussy.”
There are only two fighters on the list of people who can “get it” in the streets from Masvidal. Ben Askren and Colby Covington. Unlike his beef with Covington, Masvidal got a very satisfying result in his fight against Ben as he got the fastest knockout in history.
Do you think Masvidal could get the better of Colby in a future rematch?
