“This is embarrassing”- Jake Paul hits out at Conor McGregor, critiquing his latest training video
Jake Paul- Conor McGregor
Looks like Jake Paul will leave no stones unturned in chasing big names to add to his combat sports career, even if it means catching up with the biggest combat sports star as well. Paul, a Youtuber and Disney superstar who started off his professional boxing career in 2020 took just one more year in 2021 to start fighting and knocking out former world champions in Tyron Woodley and Ben Askren. Paul is now looking forward to focusing simultaneously on boxing as well as promoting the sport as well through his promotional firm, Most Valuable Promotions.
Paul has a history of chasing behind the name of UFC megastar Conor McGregor to get the latter on the board with him for a big-money fight inside the squared ring with 12-ounce gloves. McGregor, who is still hooked with the UFC and is the former 2-division champion of the biggest MMA promotion in the world has recently completed his recovery stage from a brutal shinbone fracture from his last fight and has started his MMA training to return for what he expects to be a title fight in probably the early fall of this year.
Jake Paul points out open chin and lack of head movement in McGregor’s training session
Recently, Jake Paul took a taunting jab at McGregor’s latest training video where McGregor is seen practising hook punches. Paul took to his Instagram story, shared McGregor’s aforementioned video and commented below it “this is embarrassing @thenotoriousmma your chin wide open with no head movement for the PRBLM CHILD right hand of God”
Despite the recurring acts of Paul calling out McGregor time and again and the latter brushing Paul off with ignorance, Paul seems to be in constant hope of making the Irishman step back inside the boxing ring. The first time McGregor fought inside a boxing ring was in a cross-promotional fight against retired, undefeated boxing megastar Floyd Mayweather, a fight that McGregor envisioned and hence made possible with swift negotiations with the UFC as well as the Showtime Sports.
What do you make of Paul’s another attempt of pulling off a callout this time in disguise of criticism of “The Notorious” Conor McGregor’s boxing skillset? McGregor is considered to be one of the best boxers in MMA history. For Paul to consider that he can beat McGregor in a completely striking sport, needs huge courage in the first and then another level of hard work and determination in the second go. Paul has the size advantage but McGregor’s IQ on reading his opponents is commendable and nearly impeccable, who do you think wins if the fight between the 2 of the most well-known names in combat sports ever happens?
