Khabib Nurmagomedov and his team aren’t easy to train with, for they really put in their heart, ask a still active fighter like Belal Muhammad. Khabib, who retired from the sport of MMA as a competitor back in October 2020, left the sport on the top with an undefeated record of 29-0 as the undisputed UFC Lightweight Champion with 3 title defences. Nurmagomedov now works as a promoter for MMA as he owns Eagle FC since November 2020 and had the first US-based fight card this year itself.
Besides that, Khabib is also working as a coach and is therefore giving back to his former cornerman and a long time teammate in Islam Makhahchev as always and just like last time last weekend when Makhachev defeated his opponent in Bobby Green via first-round TKO at UFC Vegas 49. Now, it’s nearly confirmed that Makhachev is likely to fight for the title in his next fight, which would basically mean facing the winner of the UFC 274 lightweight title fight between the champion Charles Oliveira and the challenger as of now, Justin Gaethje.

Belal Muhammad, UFC #5 welterweight who’s managed by Ali Abdelaziz, founder of Dominance MMA management agency and the same person who has managed Khabib in the past and now manages Makhachev as well, spoke about on Khabib’s official youtube channel as what it’s like to train with the elite level athletes coming out of Dagestan, Russia.
“Hey you think it’s easy work but then you don’t see behind the scenes,” said Muhammad “I’ve been with them for a week and my body feels like I am training for like 8 months, these boys put their work in like when they say training is hard, the fight is easy, their training is next level,“ concluded Muhammad.
