UFC Vegas 13: Glover Teixeira def Thiago Santos by submission

In the main event of UFC Vegas 13, the UFC veteran Glover Teixeira (14-5) entered the Octagon against Thiago Santos (13-6). Both of them is looking to win this fight and emerge as the number one contender for the Light Heavyweight title and face Jan Blachowicz.
Round 1: Teixeira and Santos both started the round with some twitches and feints to check each other out. Santos attempted a Capoeira kick but misses, but he recovered well and landed some heavy shits and Teixeira falls down on the mat. Teixeira pops up and shoots inside.
He wraps the body and slams Santos on the ground, Teixeira immediately mounted on the top. He nearly applied the arm triangle but Santos somehow survived. Teixeira postures up and rained punches and elbows. Santons have moved to guard but Teixeira is in a dominant spot. Round ends and Santos took a hell of a beating.
Round 2: Santos started the round from southpaw but Teixeira is looking sharp and he drags Santos to the canvas. Heavy shoulder pressure on him from Santos. Santos is in half guard but Teixeira is landing some heavy strikes. Teixeira is pounding at every possible opportunity.
Santos isn’t able to do enough to get free, Teixeira is landing very hard punches and elbows. Santos tries to roll but Teixeira has his back he applies the choke. Oh! Santos gets saved by the bell.
An expectional performance by Teixeira
Round 3: Santos is barely surviving that heavy strikes by Teixeira. But in this round, he scores an early takedown and a big right hand sends Teixeira to the ground. Punches and elbows from the top, Teixeira bucks up and creates a scramble. He moves to the back and applies a read naked choke. There it is the tap comes from Santos. Teixeira created a major upset in this match up.
