This women’s strawweight fight is in making for the future stars of UFC as both Cory Mckenna and Key Hansen are very young. For Cory it was her first fight at the Octagon and with a win in this, she would like to make a debut for all to remember. Hansen is also young in the game as she was making her second appearance at the Octagon. But both of these fighters put an Espectacular show for the people watching it.

Round 1: The round started with Hansen using a jab followed by a beautiful combination, she is using her reach advantage very well. Both of the women were finding it pretty hard to find a home for their punches, but it is still early in the round and there is a little bit of swelling around Hansen’s left eye.

Both of the fighters clinched against the cage and Hansen hip tosses McKenna, both of them tried to spend some time in the ground but they quickly stand up. Mckenna hits an excellent combo followed by a right hand. They are back in the clinch and Mckeena tries for the single leg, Hansen is trying to defend herself, and the horn sounds. A very evenly matched first round.

Round 2: McKenna scored the first points in the round with a nice one-two combo but Hansen counters with a straight right hand. They are in the clinch again but nothing much happens and they separate. Hansen struck a nice body kick followed by some knees.

With another knee from Hansen, McKenna shoots for another takedown and tries for the rear-naked choke. For a moment it looked really tight but Hansen somehow escaped from it. Hansen is keeping her guard close and McKenna is executing some nice ground and pound. The round ends McKenna looks like making a comeback in this round.

Round 3: Both of these fighters are looking very close to scoring. The round starts and McKenna scored the first points with a jab. Hansen gave her a reply with a nice 1-2 combo. McKenna hits with another hard right hand, she is very clever attacking Hansen from the bottom of her elbows.

Hansen is bleeding and McKenna took her to the ground. She is trying to keep the posture up and hit her with some elbows. Hansen after taking a beating took control of McKenna on the ground she tries for a head and arm choke but McKenna saves herself. The round ends and this fight was really close. It’s up to the judges now.

Result: Cory McKenna def Kay Hansen via unanimous decision (29-28,29-28,29-28)
